Who We Are: The National Capital Club de Pétanque is a pétanque club with members from across the Washington DC metro area including Maryland, Northern Virginia and the city of Washington DC.

What is Pétanque? Pétanque (French pronunciation: [petɑ̃k]; Occitan: petanca [peˈtaŋkɔ]) is a form of boules where the goal is to throw metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (literally “piglet”) or jack, while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground.

That’s looks to be an ideal topping. Hope it’s fun to play on! Decent weather to spread, too.

We like to see Charlie on our courts, too. He’s a good addition to the milieu. 👍
